The book mainly talks about how to create habits that last you need to make tiny changes.
Behavior is something you can do right now at this moment and aspiration is impossible to achieve in the current moment.
We rely too much on motivation and that’s not practical.Motivation is only reliable for one time tasks not for long term habits/changes.
Start with tiny habits you can finish in less than 30 seconds,Tiny habits.
- Find an existing event to remind you to do the new one.
- Make it easy and tiny. Eg:Floss one teeth after brushing
- celebrate immediately after doing the task Eg:Saying “Awesome” or “I did a good job”.
The 3 step formula for changing habits:-
If you are finding it difficult to maintain a Behavior the author says to ask yourself If you’re struggling to build a new habit, ask yourself the “the Discovery Question: What is making this behavior hard to do?”
